Pizza to celebrate the summer solstice

This week we have celebrated the Summer Solstice with pizza! Last thursday 20th June it was midsummer and the longest day.Mark brought his pizza oven and we had a team working on lighting and keeping the oven hot enough to cook with. We used small charcoal pieces left over from our big charcoal burn and thin kindling. Two of our team prepped the pizzas and we enjoyed watching them cook. They tasted great!

It was an industrious day with lots of different little projects going on. These were: pallet breaking and de-nailing the recycled wood for future projects, smoothing off the handle of a new wooden mallet with the rasp and then sand paper, replacing the planter hoops in Fruit Corner as the broccoli was growing so tall and watering all the potted plants. We also did our regular team job of moving logs up to the wood shed, peeling fence posts and splitting kindling.
