Moving logs, splitting firewood, making spindles and a new chair

It was another busy day at Heartwood, with a lot of varied activities. We watered and weeded fruit corner, as well as trimming back some of the brambles encroaching the planter and putting sheep fleece around the base of each plant to prevent the slugs from eating them.

We all worked together to move more firewood up to the newly roofed wood shed and also split plenty o fthe bigger logs using an axe and the wood splitter. We had a tidy up of the kiln area and some of us started making a new rustic chair for the fire circle, while others made spindles for future spinning and weaving projects. It was a great day.
