Today we started the morning with some foraging for St John's wort to make St John's Wort infused oil. We mixed it with olive oil and it will now be left to infuse on a sunny windowsill for a month. It is good for backache, sore muscles, arthritis, bruises and sprains.
The rest of the seasoned logs were split and sorted, a new planter was started, as well a tortoise house!
We also foraged and processed brambles and nettles for making cordage. We left the bulk of the plant fibres to dry before using, to prevent shrinkage. The picnic table was finally oiled!
