Hot, hot, hot!

It was an incredibly hot day at Heartwood so we were very grateful for the leafy shade of the trees. There was a lot of work done in Fruit Corner today, we harvested the garlic that we'd planted at the start of March and were thrilled how well they'd done. We have plaited them and hung them in the shepherd's Hut and will look forward to cooking and them .There was a lot of potting up to do as we had been donated strawberry and tomato plants and some leeks. We spent a long time watering all the plants and saplings and nibbled on some of the delicious blueberries. W also spent time cutting back a lot of brambles that had encroached on our growing area.

There was a lot of woodworking happening today too. Work on the new chair continued and a lot of progress was made- it's looking great! A new planter was made from recycled wood to house the new plants and the saw horse was sanded.
