Happy Solstice and a merry christmas to all our staff, students and friends on facebook and instagram

What a fantastic festive celebration we had today. We finally sat down around the magnificent banqueting table and had our Christmas lunch together. The table was dressed with holly, ivy and other foliage gathered from the woods this morning. We brought some to share and this included mulled spiced apple juice, sausage rolls, cup cakes, cookies, mince pies and savoury S'mores. A real feast of festive treats!

We were delighted to be joined by a new student today and they helped straight away with team activities. We gathered fire logs from the tree felled last week from the storm, as well as splitting some large long logs for charcoal making. Other activities today were unloading pallets from the trailer, splitting kindling, building and maintaining the fire, putting up bird boxes, sawing up pallet wood for kindling and sanding and oiling a chopping board for Laurel. Laurel is our admin and social media genius and we invited her to join us at Heartwood today as a thank you. She took all the fantastic photos today. Thank Laurel for all you do!
