Fruit Corner gets a makeover

On Tuesday, we got very busy in Fruit corner and some of us spent most of the day preparing the soil by sieving the biochar, weeding, planting out a wide variety of salad and veggies and watering. We then decided how to best protect the new plants from getting eaten and how to support the climbers when they start to grow. We built some supports and netted what we needed to. Fingers crossed they stay healthy from predators!

Meanwhile, in another part of the woods, more work was done building the supporting joists for the wood storage shed. There is still a lot to be done but the frame is now ready for the roof. For lunch we cooked and ate nettle pakoras - delicious!
