Tuesday 28th July

Today at Heartwood we watered David's tree and then we sanded and oiled a chopping board. We also broke pallets and sawed and split wood for kindling. Meanwhile, other students were cutting and trimming brambles to clear the pathways. After that we made and labelled some more self heal and silver birch hand balm.

For today's salad at lunchtime, we harvested some home grown lettuce, mint , fennel and calendula flowers to garnish.

After that we had a tea break and sanded the tabletop so we could oil it later. One student was working on making a new chair for himself and others finished oiling the tabletop.

To finish off the day, we went for a walk with Twig the dog and had one more tea break before we packed up.
