A rainy and wonderful wednesday in the woods

helenstringfellow

It was a very wet Wednesday in the woods but we didn't let it dampen our spirits. Work was done felling and logging some birch and chestnut trees in the coppicing area, meanwhile Helen and Barley sheltered from the rain under a holly tree. Helen whittled holly handles for making palm drills. We set up a temporary area to work and had our morning tea break there. At lunch the rain got very heavy so we had the fire under the main shelter and worked in the poly tunnel in the afternoon. We really appreciated how much space there was after all the organising over the past few weeks. It has been another great day.
