On Wednesday we started two new projects, as well as continuing with the sanding and oiling of the teepee poles. A new bird feeding table was started and there was a lot of measuring and sawing wood to size.
The pond fence posts, which had been split were peeled and deep holes were dug and the posts were then sunk into the holes. Thinner long poles were gathered from around the woods and then sawn to size. These were sharpened to a point and hammered into the ground in between the posts and will be used to weave the willow through.
In the afternoon, some of us did some path clearing of the brambles where they had overgrown onto the paths. We all enjoyed blackberry and blueberry picking and eating the delicious fruit.
