willow fence is finished!

This week we were pleased to have finished the shelter by tightening the tarp and adding some guttering to drain the rainwater away from the main shelter area. It started raining in the afternoon and we were delighted to see that it was working well.

Some of us finished another project, weaving the willow fence. It looks strong and neat and will be used for a screen in the urinal area.

The bluebells are still looking amazing and smelling great! It's definitely worth taking a walk in woods near you to see the bluebells while they are at their best.

Other things we worked on today were: planting more seeds, peeling a chestnut pole, fixing the liner to the old willow soaker which is being transformed into a planter. Helen learned how to use an axe and really enjoyed splitting lots of logs.
