Planting and pollarding and signs of spring

It was exciting to see the first signs of spring today. We noticed the green leaf buds on some of the elder tree had burst open- our first native tree to show its leaves. We also saw catkins on the hazel tree and some bluebell shoots.

We had another visitor today, which was great. We continued with pollarding the willow on the boundary line, moved firewood logs for seasoning and added more willow brash to the urinal walls for privacy.

In the afternoon, some of us planted some raspberry canes and garlic in fruit corner, while others made a good start on the 2nd door for the poly tunnel.
