Garlic butterfly

On Tuesday we spent the day in the clearing and used the fire site there. It was so nice to be out in the sunshine and it was filled with butterflies. We started the day with a team job of pulling bracken from around the sweat lodge area. It was quite the transformation and there is still more to do. We tended Fruit Corner by weeding the raised beds, harvesting some lettuce and the last of the peas for lunch, as well as the garlic we planted in winter. We will dry them out before we use them.

We transplanted two saplings- a rowan and a hawthorn that were self seeded but growing in unfavourable spots. They are now saved and settled in Fruit Corner with four oak saplings. We also started making some wooden setting place holders for a wedding.
