Fruit corner is fabulous

This Tuesday we were excited to see Fruit Corner is growing incredibly well - we even had our very first strawberry of the season. One of the students decided to eat it before it got nibbled overnight. The first of the lettuce was ready to pick and eat and we had it for lunch-it was fresh and delicious! Almost everything has grown and avoided being munched, except the broccoli and some of the runner beans. We welcomed the rain and it meant a lot less watering this week.

Extremely exciting news on the tadpole front- we now have froglets! They appear to still be doing well in the nursery pond we dug out back in early March. They've had some meat this week as well as the standard cucumber.

As the rain arrived, we put up the tarp shelter over the fire and kept dry whilst eating lunch. As the shelving on the timber store is now ready, in the afternoon we worked as a team to load up and stack all the donated shed timber we have into the dry. It looks great!
