Fire, food, moving and making

On Wednesday this week we welcomed back another student who only attends during the term time. It was great to have them with us again. Today we spent time in the morning moving the silver birch logs that had been seasoning to the firewood log shed. We used the wheelbarrows and trolleys and worked really well as a team to get a ,ot moved.

In Fruit Corner we weeded and emptied one of the beds and transplanted some beetroot . We also potted out the broccoli seedlings and hope that the snails don't get them. The tomato plants needed taller support sticks and we harvested some of the calendula seeds so we can grow more next year.

Other activities were finishing and filling the pond, making a wooden mallet, cooking over the fire, enjoying the swing and eating lunch together.
