On Wednesday we made a start on building a saw horse with the thicker limbs from that felled birch tree. Measurements were made and the limbs were sawn to size and peeled using the shave horse and draw knife.
The silver birch logs that were moved last week were stacked carefully in the firewood shed to season. We added spacers in between to aid airflow.
Fruit corner has produced a lovely crop of green beans this week and our first sunflower. We also clerared one of the planters and planted out the broccoli seedlings, as well as planting coriander and basil seeds to start off in the poly tunnel. We had a great day!
