Tuesday at Heartwood was a busy day. We had a full group of students and two visitorsI It was a wonderful sight when we arrived at the woods as the blubells have all opened over the past week- they look incredible alongside the white of the wood anemones.
The seedlings are growing well and we were pleased to see that some more runner beans and the parsley have germinated since last week. The poly tunnel is such an asset to the growing and the slugs don't seem to have found their way in yet! We pricked out some of the tomato plants and sowed some chives, more spinach and broccoli.
Mark fixed the log trolley handle with the help of one of the students. We gathered a builder's sack of cut down rhododendron so it can dry and later be burnt and work was almost completed on the new planter with the final side and base finished.
