Animal Tracks, the first blubell and nettle tea

Today we discovered these different animal tracks in the soft mud- we think there are squirrel, deer and rat paw prints. It was great to see our very first bluebell in the woods and the wood anemones are now covering the forest floor. Helen was thrilled to find the garlic growing really well- the tallest shoot was 24cm! Such great timing as it's the Spring Equinox tomorrow- the mid point between the winter solstice and the summer solstice. To celebrate the equinox we foraged for nettles and made nettle tea.

The French drain had some more attention as it needed further digging and a lot of washing the pebbles. In order to keep our seeds from drying out in the poly tunnel, we have made some seed trays.
