This week we have been using our teamwork to get some bigger woodland caretaking jobs done. We used the recently rebuilt log trolley to move a lot of split chestnut so it can season for charcoal making in the spring.
Above you can see us doing more teamwork to rake the leaves to clear the paths to the compost toilet. We then used the wheelbarrows to move the leaves to where we make biochar. Afterwards we dug charcoal and used the wheelbarrows again to fill the path to prevent it getting slippery in this wet weather. It was a very satisfying job.
